Pamela Hawley has been invited to serve as an Executive Summary Judge for the 2010 Global Social Venture Competition. The winners will be honored at an awards ceremony at Haas Business School at the University of California, Berkeley on April 24, 2010.
The Global Social Venture Competition began in 1999 as a student-led initiative at the Walter A. Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Today, the competition is held at leading business schools around the world, including Columbia Business School, London Business School, and the Indian School of Business. From its humble beginnings as a student-led effort at Haas, the competition now aims to leverage its new partnerships to become the global platform for social ventures, as well as a forum for thought leadership in the field of social entrepreneurship. Already in its 11th year of existence, the competition has achieved tremendous success.
