The Director of Marketing will be responsible for managing the marketing business unit according to our organization goals and SROI*. We are seeking an experienced professional who can work closely with our CEO to develop future high-level strategic partnerships. Our ideal candidate has significant experience in the for-profit world and is ready to give back to a smart, efficient, and globally impactful nonprofit. Excellent writing skills and attention to detail are required.
Collaborate with the CEO to identify, achieve, and manage marketing partnerships
Lead the marketing team to attain qualitative and quantitative marketing goals and metrics
Develop and implement strategic priorities for the marketing team for long-term growth of the organization
Review the current Marketing Plan and implement other strategies as needed
Increase brand awareness globally
Coordinate brand both offline, online, and on the UniversalGiving website
Update and utilize Salesforce for CRM
Minimum of ten years of professional experience in marketing or communications fields
Strong command of marketing principles and ability to implement them creatively
Ability to motivate a team and communicate objectives clearly
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Critical attention to detail and commitment to excellence
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Google applications (some training provided)
Experience with cause-related marketing or high-level marketing relationships a plus
Prior experience with Salesforce a plus

Network with other nonprofit professionals in an open office environment
Duration: Minimum of 15-20 hours per week for a minimum of 3 to 4 months. Ideal candidates are available to work in our San Francisco office 3-4 days/week (Monday through Friday) with the possibility of some work completed remotely. As this is a leadership position, the majority of work should be done in-office.
