The following cost structure reflects individual participation in the Global Health Volunteer Program at Project Bumwalukani:
$1,399 for trips of up to two weeks, $675 per week thereafter
This cost includes the program donation that supports our project sites as well as housing, food and in-country ground transportation to volunteer activities.
Additional approximate costs include:
Roundtrip airfare generally ranging between $1300-$1900.
Recommended spending money of $150 per week, at the discretion of the volunteer.

Standing at the foot of Mount Elgon, 150 miles east of the bustling capital city of Kampala, stands FIMRC's clinic at Project Bududa. The community is comprised of approximately 10,000 to 15,000 inhabitants with an average annual income of $200. As a volunteer, you will work with our staff to assist with patient intake and management, taking vitals, observing patient examinations with our clinical officer, and assisting in the pharmacy. Volunteers also attend home visit follow-ups for patients alongside our Community Health Educators (CHEs), work with our orphans program and teach health education in a number of different settings.
