Description

Spend 1 - 2 weeks with a group of other volunteers visiting El Salvador or Nicaragua to help to build a much needed school. We have work group volunteer opportunities available for groups and individuals throughout the year. Please contact the SOL office for dates or to reserve a space. Cost Details
The 2012 cost for a work group is $1300 plus airfare. This cost includes the program fee(purchasing materials to build the school and administer the project) as well as volunteers in-country costs (food, lodging, transportation, translation, emergency medical insurance)

Detailed Location Information
This is a wonderful opportunity to visit Nicaragua or El Salvador, learn about the people, history, culture, and help to build a much needed school. Our comprehensive program educates the volunteers about the reality of these countries through exposure to local people and its culture. Volunteers work side by side with local people in this hands on experience. In addition to the physical work helping to build the school, additional educational opportunities are available depending on the interests of the group.
