Description

The Global Volunteer Network currently has volunteer opportunities available through our partner organization in Vietnam. Volunteers are greatly needed to help teach English to adults as well as children. They will also be involved in caring for and playing with the gorgeous children in the orphanages our partner works in. Work includes:

* day care centres for disabled children
* orphanage work (including baby orphanages)
* social support for orphans and children with disabilities
* teaching English within the orphanages and local communities
* opportunities for qualified physiotheray, occupational andbehavioural therapists
 
Cost Details
A US$97 application fee secures your place on the program, this one-time payment allows you to access any of GVN's volunteer programs over the next 5 years. Your application fee benefits include: - Personal Staff Support - Your Vietnam Program Guide - Your Fundraising Guide and Software - Access to Your Own Online Journal Your program fee, which is paid 12weeks before you are due to begin your placement, varies with the length of placement. As a volunteer in Vietnam you must:

* be 18 years or older
* have no health problems
* be enthusiastic and motivated
* be a native speaker of English (volunteers must be from Australia, Canada, Europe, Ireland, UK, USA, or New Zealand)
* have a college degree or university degree to volunteer in the Teaching program
 
Detailed Location Information
The program starts on the 1st or 15th of each month.

Placements are based in three locations around the central region of Vietnam, Da Nang, Tam Ky and Tuy Hoa.

While Da Nang has some international flights, volunteers will probably need to fly via Saigon or Hanoi. Our partner will help you arrange your internal flight. They will also pick you from Da Nang airport and take you to your accommodation.

Volunteers are accommodated in a new house which is very close to school and Language Center. The house has 3 stories, 4 bedrooms, 4 toilets, and a large kitchen. The house has a shared washing machine, TV, DVD player, bicycles, telephone and internet access available at the volunteer house.
