| The town of Rio Verde continues to grow in population each year with more and more children in need of basic education. This small school located in the town?s center has had to adapt to increasing enrollment. With five classrooms and a kindergarten, you can constantly hear the hum of everything from times tables to history lessons. Classrooms are normally divided by grades with one teacher for each. With large numbers and no help, it can often be difficult for teachers to keep up with individual student?s needs.
Volunteer Responsibilities
Volunteers are needed to help tutor children in small groups, teach English, aid the teacher with classroom projects, organize recreational activities, engage in community renewal projects with the families, and even given the chance to teach their own class!
