| As you drop in elevation from the mountainous Andes region, you will find the small town of Puerto Quito with a humid coastal climate. The primary school located just outside the town square is small yet crowded with local children. There are a few run-down classrooms, concrete soccer field, and a limited availability of teachers. Students are very eager to learn everything from math to reading to English.
Volunteer Responsibilities Volunteers are needed to help tutor children in small groups, aid the teacher with classroom projects, teach English, organize recreational activities, engage in community renewal projects with the families, and even given the chance to teach their own class!
