Description

Our programs in Buenos Aires are:

Social / Welfare Service: We have partnerships with local NGO's and private institutions that support the improvement of living conditions of children. Volunteers work at a local children?s home which doubles as an orphanage and day care.

Education / Teaching: A recently stated goal of the Chilean Ministry of Education is that Chile must become a fully bilingual country. English is taught in all schools from the first to the twelfth grades.

Medical / Healthcare Program: Experienced professionals and medical students are welcome to volunteer in one of Lomas de Zamora's nine health clinics or the larger community hospital. The majority of patients are in seen in the Emergency, Maternity, Gynecology and Pediatrics, General medicine and Public health departments.

Cost Details
Accommodations: Home stay, shared volunteer residence, guesthouses. Safe, clean, comfortable local housing, inspected by our local coordinators. Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Special meals at request. Airport meet and greet by our ABV project coordinator (At any time, any day!) First night hotel accommodation *some programs Guidance and support of a local project coordinator, 24/7 in case of emergency Orientation/city briefing on arrival by our ABV project coordinator. Placement in a quality project, allowing you to maximize your time and efforts in a good cause. Includes introduction to local staff and community members with whom you will be working with. You must be 17yrs old to participate. Children accompanying their parent/legal guardian must be 12yrs old.

Travel insurance and medical coverage is not included in the program cost. These are the responsibility of the volunteer.

ABV is not responsible for loss of property, personal injury, illness, accident, delay or expense sustained by the volunteer while participating in our program.

Volunteers agree to follow the laws of the host country, the policies of the community in which they volunteer, and/or the rules of the host family, failure to do so will result in the termination of your program and forfeiture of all program fees.

Detailed Location Information
You select your travel dates. Program fees based on 7 night increments (example 1 month is 28 nights = 4 weeks)

Fill out the online application form or print and send it in by mail or fax.

Submit your $120 deposit. We accept personal Check, Money Order, Credit Cards or Paypal in US currency. (this reservation fee is included in the total price of the program)

Email, fax or mail us a copy of your resume/CV. Since we do not know you, or your interests, we found that a resume/CV can provide enough information to allow for a successful placement.

After review and acceptance of the application (1-2 days), we will email you a detailed Orientation Guide.
