| WorldTeach volunteers will serve as Teaching Assistants for the university as well as in their Teaching and Learning Center as support staff. In addition, the volunteers will lead extra-curricular activities at the university. They will also be introduced to Bengali, the local culture of Bangladesh, and the cultures of the Access Academy students. As The Access Academy prepares underprivileged, rural, and refugee women from South and Southeast Asia who have been accepted to the new Asian University for Women.
Volunteers will teach English, math, science, and possibly basic computer skills. They will also serve as first line mentors, though they will have back up from counselors. They will also facilitate student clubs and extracurricular activities in areas of their own interests, e.g. yoga, dance, music, art and crafts.
