Global Volunteers works in the English language classrooms of the Puglia region where you can lend your heart and gain new friends. Teach English to Enthusiastic Students: You'll experience Italy as L'amico preferito" ("favorite friend"). Global Volunteers works in the English language classrooms of the Puglia region where you can lend your heart and gain new friends. English has become the language of commerce, technology and opportunity worldwide. In times of economic distress, Italian students greatly value the opportunity to learn American English (the language of the internet) from native speakers to enhance their employment opportunities.

Cost Details

| Join a team for one or two weeks, or combine two or more programs. Service program fees range from $2,795 to $3,195. Service Program Fee Explanation: These fees support the community's on-going development program as well as your meals, lodging, transportation to and from the work site, project expenses, administrative costs and the services of a trained team leader. The service program fee does not cover free-time expenses or your airfare or other travel to the host community. All fees, including airfare, are tax-deductible for U.S. tax-payers.

You'll be met at the Brindisi Airport by Global Volunteers' North American team leader and transported to the host community, where volunteers stay together in a very comfortable hotel, double occupancy. Some single rooms are available at additional cost. Italian food is world-renowned, with southern Italian recipes among the finest. Exceptional meals are served to volunteers at the hotel and in local restaurants.
