| Global Volunteers needs people to teach English to College students in the Spanish colonial cities of Dolores Hidalgo and Queretaro in Mexico. You will be a rare and valuable resource in the local students' quest to gain greater English language proficiency. And you will also get to experience the best of Mexico: vibrant cultural practices, strong family traditions, a clear and proud national identity and the local people's determination to improve their future opportunities.
You will teach approximately four hours a day, using the remainder of the day to prepare for class and team meetings. The focus is on English conversation; each class follows a syllabus and uses texts which guide the volunteers through daily lessons. Team members often add examples from their personal lives to liven up the conversations.
