Full Description

Description

SAEP's Bridging Year Programme provides a year of tuition and support to recent high school graduates, while our High School Programmes provide afterschool tutorial support to township schools. For both of these programmes, SAEP requires tutors in a number of subject areas. These subjects include English, Mathematics and Maths Literacy, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Accounting, Visual Arts, Drama, Music, and Environmental Studies.

Cost Details
The cost is estimated as minimal living costs for 6 months in Cape Town. As such, the expense is variable depending on the lifestyle of the volunteer. SAEP does not charge volunteers who commit 6-12 months to the program. If a volunteer would like to commit less than 6 months, a $1000 cost per volunteer is levied by SAEP. This covers volunteer orientation, transport to our programmes, and any other materials utilized by SAEP in accomodation of that volunteer.
