Description of Services:
Eat So They can is a global fundraiser inviting individuals from around the world to host a meal and raise funds to support our partner organisations in Africa. Upon registering as a host, you will be assigned a host mentor who will help you plan your event. You will also be sent out additional information including a resource pack with posters, flyers, placemats and a DVD you can show at your event.
History:
The inaugural Eat So They Can event took place on the 13th of October 2007 in conjunction with the UN's World Food Day. On this day, people all over the globe held private dinner parties, large and small, and collected donations from their guests. Through this collective dinner party, Eat So They Can 2007 raised USD $37,000! In 2008, the weekend of the 18th and 19th of October played host to Eat So They Can events across the whole world. This global event raised over USD $55,000 and funds collected through the 2008 event will expand to benefit the African Children's Fund, which will aid children in our projects in Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, and South Africa.
