| Description
|
| Global Citizens Network needs help assisting our partners of the Native American and First Nations communities in the U.S and Canada. Currently, we partner with the Anishinabe people of the White Earth Reservation in Minnesota, the Quileute tribe in La Push, Washington and the Stoney Indians of the Eden Valley Reserve in Alberta, Canada.
You will be immersed in the daily life of the community for one week. Each volunteer team is led by a trained GCN team leader. The team works on projects initiated by people in the local community for the benefit of the community. Such projects have included setting up a library, renovating community buildings or planting trees. It is up to the host community to determine and oversee the project work. An unique and integral component of the experience includes daily activities of cross-cultural learning, by living with and amongst community members.
