| Description
|
| Global Citizens Network needs help assisting our partner, the Stoney Nation community in Eden Valley Reserve, Alberta, Canada. Currently, we partner with the Tribal Council of the Bearspaw Band on community-based development projects.
You will be immersed in the daily life of the community for one week. Each volunteer team is led by a trained GCN team leader. The team works on projects initiated by people in the local community for the benefit of the community. Such projects have included setting up a library, renovating community buildings or planting trees. It is up to the host community to determine and oversee the project work. An unique and integral component of the experience includes daily activities of cross-cultural learning, by living with and amongst community members.
