OMPT's mission is to help educate the world's poorest billion people with low-cost technology. Our goal of equipping 10 million teachers with portable media players supports the 2015 UN Millennium Development Goals.
The Development Department seeks an energetic volunteer to assist with special projects and day-to-day Development operations. The ideal candidate will have an interest in non-profits, fund raising and executing special events.
At the conclusion of his/her tenure, the volunteer will have a thorough understanding of development activities, including grant research, application and reporting, event planning, researching donor prospects, solicitation strategizing and the alleviation of extreme poverty. They will also understand how to develop a marketing plan and create marketing materials.
