Description of Services:
Village Volunteers provide volunteer opportunities with partner programs as well as supports the development of sustainable solutions to community challenges by:
* facilitating donations and fundraising for clean water, schools, clinics, libraries, organic farming projects, micro-credit and public health programs
* facilitating orphan and educational sponsorships
* funding community development workshops - e.g. organic farming, seed saving, briquetting, etc.
* providing grant writing and review to community based organizations
* supplying volunteers whose fees help to provide support for the community
* supporting micro-lending/enterprise programs, and
* providing access to an advisory board of development experts

History:
Village Volunteers was founded in 2003 and has grown to assist NGO's in 5 countries,
Accomplishments & Progress:
Helped to build a ceramic water facility in Kiminini, Kenya that produces 12,000 water filters that are locally made and sources.

Supported the building of schools, clinics and libraries.

Provided scholarships for 9 girls in East Africa going to school for nursing or teaching in local African colleges.

Put on soccer tournaments and leadership conferences in villages that support public health awareness.
