Gift Package: Provide a Month's Supply of Emergency Food to One Person in Need

Natural disasters, such as the recent hurricanes in Haiti, the Myanmar cyclone, and the China earthquake, not only rob hundreds of thousands of people of their homes and belongings, but also limit or eliminate their access to food and clean drinking water. A gift of $15 will provide a month's supply of food for victims of natural disaster, like Shefali and her family in Bangladesh. After the cyclone, their house was destroyed and her father had to stay home from work to rebuild. Extended family, who had lost their homes as well, moved in with Shefali and her family. With the extra mouths to feed and the repair costs, Shefali and her family relied on World Food Program assistance for their meals.
