Our mission is to provide education to children and youth throughout the world. Through continued research of educational programs, we identify and implement solutions impacting the development of children and youth. We also collaborate with youth serving organizations that support our vision of developing self-sustaining methods to improve the quality of life for future generations.

Description of Services:
Education for Children and Youth: We provide education and educational opportunities in the form of scholarships and vocational and employment training programs. For example, programs include Children's Digital Libraries, International Reading Corners, and Safe Spaces to Discover the World. We build children's libraries in public schools or youth serving institutions like YMCA/YWCA and provide free after school programs in poor neighborhoods.

Human Rights and Child Protection: We provide "child friendly" learning and advocacy materials teaching children how to identify themselves as being abused, bullied, trafficked, stolen or in trouble using The V Sign. The V Sign is a child's silent identifier they need help.
For more than a decade, Shirley Ann Sullivan Educational Foundation has provided life-changing educational programs for thousands of children and youth over four continents. We are a nonprofit organization with a staff comprised of 100% volunteers, so your donations go directly to educating children, building schools, children's libraries, child protection and youth employment workshops as well as providing art & literacy programs in public schools.
Accomplishments & Progress:
We created The V Sign to help children identify themselves when in trouble.
75,000 children have benefited from our participation in the Millennium Development Goals.
SASEF Development Education in the Classroom and Youth in Philanthropy curriculum is recognized by UNESCO & Foundation Maurício Sirotsky for "Forming the Consciousness of Citizenship" of children and youth.

Additional Background Information: Without your support we can not be the change we want to see. With the United Nations Millennium Development Goals as our framework we have learned when children and youth volunteer they acquire employable skills. With this in mind we have created this program:
Service Learning - Education for Employment Initiative
Seat in the Class and Job to Pay for It
We propose; young people who volunteer in a community project/program for two or more years be given priority treatment in form of a seat in the class and a job that pays them enough money to support the education they need.

We are asking universities, public and private corporations,
governments at the municipal, state and federal levels to recognize and reward service learning by by giving preferential treatment in the form of free or reduced education fees at all levels of education
