In rural Western Nepal, many families are so impoverished that they have been forced into selling their daughters to work as servants, far from home. Some of these girls are as young as six. The girls slave from dawn to late at night, seldom attend school, and have no prospects for a decent future. Some are ultimately forced into prostitution, and some are never heard from again. Families receive an average of only $50 per year for their daughters? services. For just $350, you can save a girl from being sold into bonded servitude and pay for her education for six years. This will enable her to complete the Nepali equivalent of high school, and be able to support herself. Your donation will provide her family with a goat or piglet that they can feed on food scraps and sell for more money than they would have received for their daughter's labor.
