The Big Picture
Dear Friends,
In December 2008, WorldTeach will begin an exciting year long program that will send 20 volunteers to teach in public high schools in and around Kigali, Rwanda's capital.
By partnering with the Rwandan Ministry of Education, the volunteers will be teaching math, science and English, as well as lead a variety of extra-curricular activities, such as an HIV/AIDS clubs or a sports team. We are eager to start this program, keeping in mind how much the Rwandan children have lost in their young lives as a result of the genocide.
Due to the rising cost of airfares and Rwanda's limited resources, this program has challenged our ability to keep the cost low. WorldTeach would like to provide matching grants for volunteers who fundraise to make it more feasible for qualified people to join.
We encourage you to visit www.worldteach.org to learn more about our Rwanda program.
Thank you for your continuous support to WorldTeach and our volunteers!
Impact of Your Donation
Your donations will be used as matching grants for volunteers for our year-long Rwanda program.
For every volunteer that fundraises at least $2,000 we would award them a matching grant for $2,000.
