$340 will allow a severely malnourished child to spend one to two months at one of the Nepalese Youth Opportunity Foundation (NYOF)'s Nutritional Rehabilitation Homes. During that time, the child will to receive nourishment and medical care from NYOF's expert staff, until the child is restored to normal weight and full health.
The child's mother also stays at the Nutritional Rehabilitation Home, where she will be trained in proper hygiene and nutrition. She will learn how she can feed her family nutritiously on locally grown foods.
After the mother and child return to their home, your donation will allow NYOF's field workers to visit the villages to follow up on the child's progress and good health, and ensure the mother is applying what she learned.
