Quick Facts

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Malaria is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in Uganda.
We educate villages about malaria through outreaches and house-to-house visitation, as well as establishing mosquito net supply chains in each of our villages. The nets we provide are insecticide-treated and last for five years, even with washing. They are also incredibly durable (made of polyethylene, as opposed to the government-distributed polyester nets), and may therefore be re-treated after five years for continued use. We also supply an individual in each community with a stock of nets to sell to their neighbors.
Each of our high-quality mosquito nets costs a little over 5 dollars. One net, however, often sleeps 2 or 3 children, reducing their chance of contracting malaria by fourteen to sixty percent! (According to the WHO.) Please protect 9 children from malaria by giving 3 gift mosquito nets, for $15. www.ugandavillageproject.org
