The Big Picture

Project Needs and Beneficiaries

Over 13 million Kenyans live on less than $1 a day. The world's poorest people must be entrepreneurial to survive. With the right tools, they can start businesses that create jobs and wealth. To date, over 65,000 families have used KickStart tools to start profitable businesses. They generate $65 million in new profits and wages each year and can now educate their kids, afford healthcare, and plan for their futures. Help us empower thousands more families escape grinding poverty forever.

Project Message
"What poor people need most is a way to make money. Enable them to start a profitable business and they can provide food, shelter, medicine, and education for their families."
- Martin J. Fisher, Ph.D., Co-Founder & Executive Director KickStart
