All Photos International Friends of Belize (IFOB) is a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization supporting community-based projects and secondary school scholarships in Belize.

Description of Services:
IFOB provides an international network of communication among members, and provides opportunities to support community-based programs in Belize through IFOB's Scholarship program and Community Grants program. For more information on IFOB programs, please visit www.friendsofbelize.org.
History:
Accomplishments & Progress:
In 2006, IFOB awarded 14 full scholarships to Belizean secondary school students, totaling nearly US$7,000 in assistance. IFOB also awarded 3 community grants: Environment: Seine Bight Village School received funding to construct a protective fence for the school?s organic garden, to teach biology and agriculture lessons to students. Education: Hummingbird Elementary after-school Chess Club in Belize City received a grant to purchase chess boards, teaching materials, and a display board. HIV/AIDS: Cornerstone Foundation received a grant for materials and production of an HIV/AIDS drama play performed by youths in San Ignacio.
