A deadly 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar. The actual extent of damage is unclear, but it's estimated that at least 26 people were killed and more than 230 injured. More than 100 houses, 21 religious buildings, 48 government buildings and four schools were damaged, several landslides were triggered and mines collapsed. These numbers are expected to climb as more local sources report damages. The region has also experienced several powerful aftershocks.
Build Change is preparing to help those communities most affected by the earthquake by training homeowners, builders, engineers and government officials to rebuild safe houses and buildings.
Build Change needs your support today to put trained professionals in the villages to design earthquake-resistant homes using local materials, design, labor and tools and work with homeowners, builders, engineers and government officials to rebuild safe homes.
Please give generously to help Myanmar's earthquake survivors.
