Project: A Permanent Campus for Papa's House.

Currently Papa's Houses are located in four large leased buildings in Dhapasi, Nepal. To provide for the security of operations and establish a permanent presence, Nepal Orphans Home seeks its own campus for Papa's House in the Kathmandu valley. The campus grounds of one to two hectares would include four separate homes for up to 150 children, living in rooms equipped with bunk beds, desks, and lockers for several children. In each home will be a study hall equipped with personal computers and Internet connection. A common dining hall would serve all of the children.
The Volunteer Nepal hostel and the Chelsea Education Center for vocational training will also be situated on campus. All the buldings, while following traditional Nepalese style, will be equipped with environmentally-sustainable technologies. A large garden will ensure a supply of fresh vegetables. Hardwood and fruit trees will be carefully planted about the campus. There will be a spacious playground for games.
