Project: A Permanent Campus for Papa's House.

Currently Papa's Houses are located in four large leased buildings in Dhapasi, Nepal. To provide for the security of operations and establish a continuing presence, Nepal Orphans Home seeks its own permanent campus for Papa's House in the Kathmandu valley. The campus grounds of three to five hectares would include separate homes for 150 children, living in rooms of three and four, with individual beds, desks, and lockers. Each home would have a kitchen, dining area, and study hall with computers connected to the Internet. One room in the homes would serve as an infirmary. In addition, there would be a hostel for volunteers, with a large training room for workshops, after-school tutoring, and classes on sewing and crafts. A large secure yard for a playground, a vegetable garden, and fruit trees would complete the campus. Sustainable technologies such as solar panels and solar ovens, as well as efficient lighting would be incorporated in our children's homes.
