Gift Package: Prosthesis for Haitian Amputeex

On January 12, 2010, the lives of many people in Haiti changed forever. Amid death and grief, many thousands are now struggling to rebuild their lives. For adults and children who suffered crushed limbs or amputations, the chances of becoming outcasts of society are great. Prospects of finding work, staying in school and avoiding poverty are slim. Initial relief efforts have slowed to a trickle, leaving many amputees with little hope. In August we will set up a prosthetics center in Haiti's capital, Port-au-Prince, to manufacture and fit artificial lower limbs for 1,000 to 4,000 people.
