UniversalGiving™, an award-winning global social-entrepreneurship nonprofit organization, is seeking an SEO Professional for a pro-bono volunteer position. We are looking for an experienced search engine optimizer with a proven track record of success improving search engine positioning. This seasoned professional would work directly with the CEO to help develop and implement effective SEO strategies at UniversalGiving™. This is a hands-on role building, implementing, measuring and analyzing optimization strategy.

Develop and implement SEO strategies
Optimize site structure, page content, site indexing, URL redirecting, and page indexing
Create and launch new SEO campaigns and analyze existing SEO campaigns
Perform keyword research and competitive analysis to maximize traffic
Monitor traffic and rankings and analyze website to improve search rankings
Provide regular SEO updates and reports
5+ years of professional experience with SEO concepts, strategy, and top-industry tools and resources
Ability to work in HTML for SEO optimization
Applied hands-on experience with Google Adwords and Google Analytics, required
Strong interest in working with both qualitative and quantitative analyses in SEO/SEM reporting
Clear understanding of words/phrases in SEO/SEM Campaigns which highlight our unique value proposition, and set us apart from the competition
Ability to optimize word choices in marketing, and create concise phrases for advertising
Close attention to detail
General internet savvy and insight on web trends
Very strong verbal and written communication skills
Commitment to using and updating Salesforce, our Relationship Database
Ability to lead projects and manage and work with a team
Interest in nonprofit work, international issues, and philanthropy
Full support of the mission and vision of UniversalGiving™
Contribute to UniversalGiving’s work to create a world where giving and volunteering are a natural part of everyday life

Duration: Minimum 15-20 hours per week required for the duration of the Returnship, at least a minimum of 3 to 4 months. Ideal candidates are available to work out of our San Francisco office 3-4 days/week (Monday through Friday) with possibly some work completed remotely.
